OLG June 11, 2011 | Dedication of Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church. Cardinal Rigali blessed and sanctified our new Church with several Bishops, Monsignors and priests, as well as over 1200 parishioners in attendance. Two relics were placed within the Altar and Cardinal Rigali washed and purified the Altar. | |

OLG June 10, 2011 | Preparation is being made for the dedication of our new church. Several men and women helped in moving the sacramentals from the rectory, as well as cleaned pews, moved chairs into place and in general prepared the church for the 4 PM celebration on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Anthony Visco installed the mural of the Crucifixion within the retalblo and George Sisti installed the frame and mural of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Shrine. | |

OLG June 7, 2011 | New stained glass being installed in windows on each side of altar. Wrought iron framing installation nearing completion and the pews are now being installed permanently. Confessional booths are now installed on each side of the Shrine. The choir, under the direction of our Director of Liturgical Music, Paula M. Furman, was in rehearsal for the dedication ceremony on Saturday evening. | |

| OLG June 1-3, 2011 | Wrought iron structure is in the process of being installed at the four corners of the nave. Eventually stained glass will be placed inside the structures. Pews are assembled and as soon as the floor is cleaned, the pews will be properly placed and secured. Construction continues in the chapel and the door frame at the entrance is in place, as is the foundation for the altar. Arched columns at the entrance to the narthex are completed and the workmen are in the process of pouring concrete at the entrance. Landscaping is being done in the area where gardens will be planted. Bathroom fixtures are now installed. | ||

OLG May 25, 2011 | The pews are finally being installed. In the sanctuary the lectionary is now in place and final touches are being made on the altar. The view from the front of the Church shows the completed archways.....and then there is the master director himself....Monsignor Gentili. | |

OLG May 18, 2011 | The arches at the entrance continue to be worked on. In the sanctuary the marble altar is in place, the retablo is nearing completion and the stations of the cross frames are in place and electricity is being connected to each one. The marble floor continues to be installed and is nearing completion. Te entrance from the narthex to the nave is being framed out and will have glass and doors installed soon. | |
| OLG May 11, 2011 | The Retablo has now been installed in the Sanctuary and the installation of the marble floor continues in the Nave. The elevator to the choir loft is in the process of being installed, the archways at the entrance to the Narthex is nearing completion, and the bell tower and cupola have now been completed. Doors are now hung throughout the Church building. | ||
| OLG May 7, 2011 | Construction is progressing rapidly now. Doors have been installed throughout the Church. Columns at the entrance to the Church are having a facing of concrete blocks installed, and the start of arches at the entrance has begun. The bell tower now has louvers over all the oprnings and the roof on the Chapel has been completed. Marble floor tile installation continues and now almost the entire floor in the main portion of the Church has been completed. Stained glass has been installed in the window directly over the Altar. A metal, filigree railing has been installed on the Choir loft. Cabinets are being installed in the utility areas such as the kitchen and changing rooms. On the exterior landscaping continues with the planting of trees and shrubs on the Cold Spring Creamery side of the Church, continuing around the corner of Durham Road, and a paving stone walkway is being built. Workmen are preparing to install lighting throughout the parking lots and exterior of the Church. | ||

OLG May 1, 2011 | Construction is moving along well throughout the Church building. The tile roof is completed on the Chapel and drywall is nearing completion inside. Drywall has now been completed and parts of it painted in the main portion of the Church. Marble tile installation has been completed rom the Chapel across toward the Shrine and should be completely finished by the end of the week. The bathroom partitions and stalls have been installed and doors are being hung. Plywood panels protecting the stained glass in the cupola have been removed and spot lighting has been installed throughout the Altar area. Marble installation continues around the Altar, as well. The columns at the entrance to the Church are being enclosed with the stone facing. | |

OLG Apr 26, 2011 | The roof of the Chapel is nearing completion. On Saturday I went into the Church around 4 PM; the drywall and floor tile workers were busy. I spoke with one of them and asked if they were about finished for the day. He said they were the second shift that started at 3 PM and were going to continue to work until 1 AM.....Obviously Adams Bickel is making every effort to have our Church ready for the dedication on June 11. The photos show drywall nearing completion throughout. Floor tile have been laid in more than half of the Church and the chandeliers have been installed. Additional work is being done on and around the Altar. The columns at the front entrance are being cinder blocked in preparation for the stonework. | |

| OLG Apr 17, 2011 | Most of the changes taking place are on the interior of the Church. Drywall continues throughout, electrical work, including the beginning of installation of the ceiling lights and audio, marble facing on the Altar are all being worked on. The start of installing roof tiles on the Chapel has begun. | ||
| OLG Apr 11, 2011 | Workers are busy trying to complete the Church in time for the June 11 dedication. The marble floor is being installed throughout the main area of the Church, drywall continues to be installed throughout, the sound system is being installed, marble surrounding the Altar and Sanctuary is being installed, windows over the Shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe are being prepared for the stained glass installation, and workmen are busy completing the installation of tiles on the roof. Workmen on the exterior continue to complete the stonework and grading has been done prior to the blacktop being installed. | ||

OLG Apr 4, 2011 | Marble continues to be in the Altar area . Tiles are beginning to be installed in the main area of the Church and the stained glass has been installed over the Altar. OLG Mar 19, 2011 | Exciting things are going on inside the Church. The temporary doors to the Narthex and Chapel have been removed and dry wall is being installed in both the sections. Stained glass is being installed over the Sanctuary and white marble has been installed on the Altar. Stonework continues to be installed on the bell tower and roof tiles on the main portion of the Church is nearing completion. Preparation for the roof tiles on the Chapel continues, as well. | |

OLG Feb 20, 2011 Update | Work continues on the Chapel, Shrine, and Sanctuary. Views of the Sanctuary show marble beginning to be installed along the steps of the Altar. View of the cupola from below shows that drywall has been installed in preparation for completion. Views of the Church from the choir loft show work to date on the entrance to the Chapel, as well as the view of the Sanctuary and Shrine. Tiles continue to be installed on the roofs of the Church building, bell tower and cupola. There is also a view of the entire Church building as you will see it as you walk from the parking areas. This will be updated weekly so you can see the progress that is being made, and also will be printed on the cover of the bulletin each week. | |

OLG Jan 22, 2011 Update | Construction continues in the Chapel, as can be seen with the walls being erected, and the wood beams and ceiling being put into place. The dressing and storage rooms have been dry walled and almost completed. With the two crosses in place and the roof being installed throughout (in spite over temperatures some days in single digits and snow on other days, the exterior of the Church is on schedule for completion soon). The Altar continues to be constructed and the gravel base is being poured in preparation for the concrete floor. Note the panorama photos show a view of the Altar taken from the choir loft. OLG Jan 20, 2011 Update | In just a couple of days progress in the construction in every area of the Church building can be seen. Roof tiles are being installed on the main roof areas as well as the bell tower. OLG Jan 17, 2011 Update | The Cross was installed atop the cupola today indicating that the construction of our Church building is moving along quite well in spite of the weather. OLG Nov 21, 2010 Update | Work continues on the interior as well as the exterior of the Church. Walls continue to be created using studs. The cupola has now been framed out, insulated, and prepared for the exterior facing. The area around the Altar is now being prepared for the concrete floor. The choir loft now is studded out for stadium-like seating, as well as the organ, as seen in several views. Preparation for the Altar area can be seen in views taken from the choir loft. On the exterior of the building stonework being installed enhances the brick facing and is nearing completion. The is also a view of the parking areas having been paved. | |

OLG Nov 14, 2010 Update | Stonework around the perimeter of the building continues and is nearing completion. The parking areas continue to be paved. Roof insulation is installed and the installation of the roof tiles should begin soon. On the interior of the building studding for walls continues and utility wires and pipes are being put in place, as well as the HVAC ductwork. The walls for the Chapel are up and the steel for the roof should begin to be installed sometime soon. | |

Much of the work being done now is in the interior; walls are being created, duct work and plumbing and electric are being installed. Paving of driveways from Durham Road and Cold Spring Creamery Road and parking areas has begun. Original concrete walkway has been replaced and the plantings on each side have been restored. OLG Sept 15, 2010 Update | The cupola (all 19,000 lbs) was raised and placed in position on the Church. A cross will be placed on top within the next few days. Msgr. Gentili and Deacon Gohde were there to celebrate and bless this special occasion. Note the stonework going on throughout the building, in addition to the wood base being placed on the roofs. The balance of the parking areas have new curbing and are graded in preparation for the crushed stone and asphalt. This truly was a SPECIAL day for Our Lady of Guadalupe. | |

OLG Sept 9, 2010 Update | In the past 10 days an amazing amount of work has been accomplished: Roof work at the entrance is nearing completion, metal studs have been installed along most of the Church building, including around the altar, insulation is being placed over the studs, The cupola has been built and awaiting installation. In addition, the Chapel walls are being built and woodwork in the ceiling of the Church is being installed, as is the flooring for the choir loft. Progress continues to be made with the stonework installation on the exterior of the building. And be sure to note the Cross atop the bell tower. | |

OLG July 17, 2010 Update | Walls have been built along entrance to Narthex and adjoining area along the perimeter of the Church. Concrete pads for the columns in front of the Church are now in place. The concrete slab in main area of the Church has bee poured and new steel has been brought to the site. The crane used to install the steel is being assembled and steel girders and beams will be installed next week. HVAC ducts in the basement are ready for installation. | |

OLG July 7, 2010 Update | Construction of Church is rapidly showing progress. Walls on both sides of building are nearing completion and size and scale of entire building is becoming more apparent. New steel construction should begin this coming week which will give even greater idea of what Church building will look like. OLG June 29, 2010 - UPDATE | Progress continues at the Church building site with the block walls being erected on both sides of the building, back filling around HVAC ducts and grading in preparation for the concrete slab floor of the Church. Footings are in place for the Church entrance and steel should begin to be installed within the next two weeks. Grading and gravel bed in the parking lots are nearing completion, as is the landscaping. Overhead view shows the outline of the Church and Chapel more clearly since the grading continues and the block walls are being erected. | |

OLG June 19, 2010 - UPDATE | Landscaping is nearing completion around parking area as well as along the open space. Grading around foundation front and rear of the Church building is being completed. As soon as the installation of the HVAC conduits is completed the area within the Church foundation will be graded in preparation for the concrete foundation to be poured. The walls of the Church in the area of the Narthex are being constructed, connecting with the walls to the right of the entrance to the Narthex that have been visible in previous photos. | |

This is the beginning of the installation of the steel inside and above the basement. The formation of the entry way to the Church can now be visualized. These photos were taken between 10 AM and noon on May 25. The steel installation will continue this afternoon and for the next two days. In addition, the work continues in many other areas of the site, as can be seen throughout the photos. These photos show the installation of the beams in the basement area creating the floor area where we will enter the Church into the Narthex. | ||
