DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Jessica Walters, has joined the parish staff as Director of Religious Education. Mrs. Walters enjoys working with the parish members and children to provide formation and learning experiences to help grow disciples. Mrs. Walters is a member of St. Agnes parish in Sellersville and previously worked at the Allentown Diocese as the Assistant Director of Adult Formation. She lives in Sellersville with her husband and two children.
DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY
Lisa Kopertowski has joined the parish staff as Director of Youth Ministry. Mrs. Kopertowski is looking forward to developing a fruitful and dynamic youth ministry for Our Lady of Guadalupe parish. Mrs. Kopertowski is a member of St. Andrew Parish in Newtown and has an extensive youth volunteer experience at St. John the Evangelist in Morrisville, PA and St. Ignatius in Yardley, PA. She lives in Newtown with her husband and children.
DIRECTOR OF LITURGICAL MUSIC
Paula, our Director of Liturgical Music, came to us from Holy Name of Jesus Church in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, where she served as Director of Music. She is a member of the National Pastoral Musicians Organization, the American Guild of Organists, the American Chorale Directors Association and the Lower Bucks Choral Society.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR DIRECTOR
Lisa Simon and family have been members of OLG Parish since it originated. Lisa is a music educator. She earned her BA in Music Education from Rowan University and her MM in Piano Performance from The Catholic University of America. Lisa directs the Children’s Choir and the Christian Rock band. Lisa is also involved with the Children’s Liturgy. Lisa teaches elementary music in Melrose Park and private piano lessons. When Lisa is involved with her music at OLG she won’t be alone! Look for the accompaniment of her incredibly musical family!
PARISH BUSINESS MANAGER
Since 2009, Ed has applied the wealth of experience he gleaned over thirty years in the insurance and financial services industries to his post as Parish Business Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Drexel University and has attained Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
Before joining the OLG staff in 2008, Karen’s more than fifteen year administrative career in the legal and financial fields brought her from Smithtown, New York, to Doylestown. Today you can find her in the OLG office in her role as Executive Secretary.
Jeanne Senour joined the OLG office family as Parish Secretary in November 2012. Jeanne has been a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish since its doors opened in 2000. She and her family moved to Doylestown from Illinois in 1997. For eight years, Jeanne volunteered as a PREP teacher while her daughters were going through the program. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, she spent many years as an administrative assistant and marketing manager. When you come into the office make sure to stop by and say Hello!
Joanne Jenkins has been the PREP Secretary since January 2012. Prior to becoming members of OLG, Joanne was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. During the school year you will find Joanne planning 1st Communion, Confirmation and registering children for our PREP program. During the summers, you will find Joanne and her family at one of their Fractured Prune Donut Shops in Ocean City, New Jersey!
Teresa Fischer has been editing the parish bulletin since 2012. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Bloomsburg University and previously worked in health care marketing. She and her family have been members of Our Lady of Guadalupe since its inception. In addition to the bulletin, Teresa works on several special projects for the parish, including the parish website, and works as a freelance writer. She previously volunteered in the parish PREP program and enjoys being part of such a wonderful parish.
PARISH FACILITIES SUPERVISOR
Joseph Balaza resides with his wife in Doylestown and has been a member of OLG since 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Bioscience from The College of New Jersey and St. Francis Medical Center with extended studies in Business Administration and Statistics. Joseph brings over 30 years of managerial experience, previously working in the clinical and pharmaceutical industry, as well as the skill sets required for the operations of facility oversight and maintenance.
