Back when the world ushered in a new century, the Archdiocese of
Philadelphia announced that a new Parish would be built to serve the
thriving Roman Catholic population in Central Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
In July of 2000, nearly 2,000 families from Buckingham gathered for
the official founding of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. We had no
Church building, but we believed that “people” are what make a Church. Many
of us had recently moved to this newly-developed area, and we eagerly sought
the community of new neighbors who shared our Roman Catholic faith.
Our
Parish History
to
date is a noble
one filled with challenges, hopes, disappointments, victories, faith and,
ultimately — joy. Each step we have made in faith has brought us a
little closer to God, to one another and to the goals of our
Mission Statement.
By God’s grace and the dedication, patience and loyalty of our
clergy, office staff, volunteers and parishioners, Our Lady of Guadalupe
Parish is very close to realizing our dream of building a new Church on
the corner of Durham and Cold Spring Creamery Roads in Buckingham, PA.
Through our commitment to serving as a
Tithing Community,
as well as to funding our
Capital Campaign, we are prayerfully continuing to give generously of our time,
talent and treasure so that we may live up the mandate set forth by the
Archdiocese in 2000.

In support of our efforts, please join us in praying:

“Our Lady of Guadalupe, you asked Juan Diego to help build a new Church that
would serve a new people in a new land. Help us respond to God’s call to
build His Church in Buckingham, that we may soon worship as a family from
our new home. Please give us the courage of Juan Diego to persevere despite
obstacles. And let us always encourage each other to follow Jesus and share
our gifts in His name. Amen”
