BAPTISM

Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.

- Acts 22:16

The sacrament of Baptism

Congratulations on the birth of your child! Twice a month after the 11 a.m. Mass we offer the sacrament of Baptism.

In order for your child to be baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Buckingham, you need to be a member of our parish or have permission to be baptized at OLG, you will need to attend a required preparation class and choose Catholic godparents.

The godparent will need a signed eligibility form from their parish. Please call the parish office for more details or see forms below.

*We also hold Baptisms in Spanish on select Sundays.

The first Sacrament

Baptism is the first of the Sacraments of Initiation.

At Baptism your child becomes a member of the Catholic Church.

One of the most important things you will do for your child is choose their godparents. When choosing godparents, you are selecting the individuals who can offer support and guidance to your child throughout their life.

At least one godparent must be Catholic. The godparents will need a signed eligibility form from their parish.

Call the parish office for more details.
