Youth

Our Youth Community

At OLG, we have many ways for your kids to connect with God, other people and have fun.  Our youngest children can attend their own children’s liturgy during the 9:30 am Sunday Mass and school-age children and teens can get involved with CYO sports, PREP, music, volunteering, youth ministry and social events throughout the year.

Check out the opportunities to learn and grow. You're invited to come join the fun!

Boys and girls of the parish in grades 4th grade and higher assist the priest and deacons by serving at Mass. The altar server’s primary responsibilities are to carry the cross, and processional candles, hold the sacrament book and assist with preparation of the altar throughout the Mass. New altar server training is as needed throughout the year. Please register here if interested in becoming an Altar Server.

CYO sports is a wonderful opportunity for children and teens in our parish to participate in variety of sports in a Catholic environment.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place during the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays from late September to mid-June. All children age three through 2nd grade are welcome to attend; no registration is necessary. Before the Liturgy of the Word, the children, accompanied by a catechist and assistants, proceed to the chapel, where they listen to and discuss the Gospel at their level of understanding. Following the Prayers of the Faithful, they re-enter the church and continue the community celebration of the Eucharist with their parents.

FEF es un movimiento de laicos cuya misión es “Evangelizar en Familia, por la Familia y para la Familia”.

Through time in weekly class, activities at church and celebrating the liturgical seasons through the year, our students are able learn about Jesus and his love.

The Squires Circle is a youth organization of the Knights of Columbus. Christian males (age 10-18) participate in charity, service and social events.

All teens in 6th grade through high school age are invited to join “Keep the Faith,” OLG’s teen Christian rock group.

Our Youth and Young Adult Ministry has something for everyone. Our meetings and events are full of fun, food, friends and faith.
