Respect Life
Truly children are a gift from the Lord
- Psalm 127:3
Our Mission
The goal of Our Lady of Guadalupe Respect Life Committee is to promote the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death by prayer, education and support for crisis pregnancy homes and centers in Bucks County. Our committee works in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Respect Life Committee.

Prayer Vigils at Planned Parenthood in Warminster
In conjunction with other parishes in Bucks County, Our Lady of Guadalupe participates in the daily prayer vigils at the Planned Parenthood located on Louis Drive in Warminster to pray and give witness for the crime of abortion in our community. Mother’s Day Activities
On Mother’s Day, our committee distributes materials and holds fundraising events such as, Change for Life Baby Bottle Campaign and Baby Bundles for our local crisis pregnancy centers and homes.
Back to School Rummage Sale
Each August both Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Guadalupe Respect Life Committees hold a rummage sale. Money from this sale is used for educational materials we have available in the back of the church; to help defray the cost of the bus trip to Washington, DC in January; and to bring in local and national pro-life speakers.
Forty Days for Life
Every October our parish participates in this event along with other parishes in our area to provide 12 hours of prayerful presence at Planned Parenthood in Warminster.

Respect Life Sunday
The first Sunday in October has been designated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops as Respect Life Sunday to call attention to human life issues and renew our personal commitment to defend all human life, especially the most vulnerable members of the human family
Crosses for Life
A special way to remember the lives of the over 57 million children who have lost their lives through the tragedy of abortion is the Memorial Cross display at local churches. OLG participates in this event and displays crosses on Route 413 during Respect Life Week.
Mass of the Holy Innocents
The Feast of the Holy Innocents is observed each December 28 to remember the children slaughtered by King Herod. This feast day holds a particular significance to the pro-life movement as we also remember all the innocent preborn babies killed through the terrible sin of abortion. A Mass and memorial service for the Feast of the Holy Innocents, is held in Bucks County at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Jamison.
