LATEST Updates for Our Lady of Guadalupe ParisH
Friday, October 2, 2020
Upon Further Review...
Distribution of Holy Communion Update Since our reopening for public Mass in June, during the distribution of Holy Communion, Ministers of Holy Communion at Our Lady of Guadalupe have been following the liturgical guidelines of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which does not require ministers to wear a face mask while distributing Holy Communion. However, with ongoing concerns about COVID-19 and the impending flu season, it has been decided in consultation with our Reopening Task Force that, out of an abundance of caution, all Ministers of Holy Communion will wear a face mask while distributing Holy Communion for the time being. We hope that this measure alleviates any concerns you may have as you participate or are thinking about participating at Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe.
in case of emergency
In case of an emergency, which requires the attention of a priest, call the parish office (267-247-5374) at any time. Directions will be given on how to contact a priest. All area hospitals and nursing care facilities have a parish assigned to them and each institution will be able to assist you.
The CHURCH IS OPEN
The Church will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
(and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon) so the faithful have opportunities to pray.
Parish Office - closed
Emails and phone messages will be responded to as soon as possible.
Parish Activities Canceled
All parish activities including: PREP, CYO sports, meetings, youth group meetings and special events have been canceled until further notice. This includes all ministry activities and meetings scheduled at the Parish Life Center, OLG Church and any off-campus locations. First Holy Communion is postponed until Fall 2020.
If there are any updates to the above information, it will be communicated via email from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Thank you for your cooperation during this trying time. Please pray for everyone who has been affected by COVID-19.
This is a devotion we can perform on our own whether we are at Mass and not receiving the Eucharist sacramentally or if we are anywhere else. This can be done while watching a broadcast of the Mass on the Internet or even in our morning or evening prayers.
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You.
