FIRST GRADE - PREP online
God is Love
This is a Catechist led, parent managed program. Catechists teach students online, and parents use the tool to reinforce learning in the home. In First Grade PREP students will begin to develop an awareness of God as our Father in Heaven, the creator of Heaven and earth, who is all good, who created them in His image and likeness, and who loves them unconditionally.
Things the students will learn in First Grade religious instruction.
-
Introduction to the basic parts of the Mass.
-
The reality of sin is further explored in connection with the Sacrament of Confession.
-
Continuing to learn from the lives of saints, they also explore the basics of prayer as a conversation with God.

While it's important for your children to understand the Faith, Spirit of Truth is designed to help them internalize the Faith and apply it to their own lives, providing ample opportunity for them to reflect on how everything they are learning applies to their own lived experience.

PREP Catechist Instructional Videos
Every week a new video lesson created by your Catechist will appear in this section of the webpage. Please watch and complete each lesson as required. Since these lessons are pre-recorded, students are encouraged to pace themselves as needed, pausing for breaks, returning a few days later, revisiting later in the year. We will post weekly and suggest completing each lesson weekly, but families should access when appropriate for their own schedules.
Please watch this week's PREP video.
